Mehboob Khan was born on 9th September 1907. He is a well-known director and producer and a pioneering icon of Indian Cinema. He is the founder of Meheboob Productions and Mehboob Studios in the year 1954. His first silent film direction is Al-Hilal(1935). He went on to direct movies like Deccan Queen (1936), Aurat(1940), Bahen(1941), etc. Under Mehboob productions, he made Anmol Ghadi, Andaz, Taqdeer, Humayun, Amar and many more. His best and gem film to Indian cinema is Mother India(1957) which went on to win twoNational Film Awards,Filmfare AwardsforBest FilmandBest Director and went on to win Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film nomination. He died on 28th May 1964.
